Home Visits

Doctor's bag

Home visits can be requested by ringing the surgery before 10:00am. It is important that we have your current phone number as a doctor may ring you back to discuss your problem and to discuss alternatives to a home visit if appropriate. If it is an urgent problem which the doctor feels can't wait then an ambulance may be suggested.

We now run an acute visiting scheme, where most patients requesting a home visit will be visited and triaged by our inhouse paramedic. They will then liaise with the referring GP in order to create a plan for treatment.

Home visits are for housebound patients. Parents naturally worry about moving unwell babies and children. It is quite safe to do so in the vast majority of cases and this means your child may receive quicker treatment at the surgery.
